This is AIER
The Association of Innovative Educational Research (AIER, pronounced “AIR”) is a nonprofit organisation committed to promoting strategic, secure, and sustainable technology transfer practices that foster safe research across the industry, academia, and government ecosystem.

Nurturing Safe Research

AIER defines Safe Research as a holistic approach that ensures research is conducted responsibly, covering the entire spectrum from ideation to commercialisation. The organisation emphasises critical elements such as Intangible Technology Transfer (ITT), dual-use considerations, and export controls to safeguard against misuse. Safe Research prioritises preventing derivatives from contributing to illicit activities such as smuggling, human rights violations, or the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The approach also emphasises compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 (UNSCR 1540) and domestic Strategic Trade Acts to strengthen global security frameworks. AIER advocates for robust governance and policy-making, with efforts anchored in a network of ASEAN chapters. By navigating the complexities of international trade, upholding intellectual property rights, and fostering secure technology transfer, AIER aims to contribute to a protected ecosystem where Safe Research enables innovation to thrive and flourish responsibly and sustainably.
